Cancer System Quality Index 2008

Welcome to the Cancer System Quality Index.

This website provides a yearly update on the performance of the cancer system in Ontario. It reports on 32 evidence-based quality measures covering the full spectrum of cancer control - from cancer prevention to end-of-life care. This information helps track Ontario’s progress against cancer and point out where cancer service providers can make quality and performance improvements.

The Index was launched in 2005 by the Cancer Quality Council of Ontario, in partnership with Cancer Care Ontario. It is the first cancer system measurement and evaluation tool of its kind in North America.
